Description

A fantastic way to combine Fine Motor and Maths!
Depending on ability you could use these to make simple counting towers or number representation boards (see thumbnail pictures)

Children can show the number in different ways, again depending on ability
  • build a tower
  • place number of blocks in a line
  • place number of blocks in an array
  • make the digit
  • tens and ones
  • show an addition sum to make that total using two coloured bricks

iPads and hands on resources together… my absolu iPads and hands on resources together… my absolute favourite way to see technology in an early years classroom!!

My favourite app for little people… the camera app!! Scanning QR codes, taking pictures of their work, videoing their explanation of what they did and their thinking!! Such a magnificent resource!!

@teachingwithmissblechynden made these super cute QR codes for her class to check their work when making CVC words using our Acrylic Alphabet Set Lower Case in VIC precursive 💕💕
I like to call @lego and duplo an equalising resou I like to call @lego and duplo an equalising resource.. it doesn’t matter your age, your neurotype, your gender or your social skill level… you can play with it.

And the best bit is, you can be collaborative or parallel play! You can chat or play quietly, build right with someone or build your part to add later 💕💕

Probably why we have an entire playroom just for Lego 🤭 and why it is where you will find almost everyone who visits will build something!

Were you a Lego lover as a child? I wasn’t… it’s definitely been something I’ve discovered a love for with my kids
