We love fun literacy activities! The more hands-on the better. Plus, sorting activities help children to recognise and categorise different types of stones letters, words, pictures, and numbers, and develops their language, visual, and critical thinking skills.

We love an easy to set up resource, and this is one of them. When it comes to literacy activities, it’s ideal to find ones that have multiple uses and can be adapted for knowledge and skill levels.
When setting up literacy activities, you don’t always need to use everything that is there and available, instead use the resources that suit the need for that activity. And there’s also the opportunity to use just the stones that you make, or to use them with the houses as well!
