For kinetic sand, you can definitely buy this premade or you can make it. This is my suggestion on how to make kinetic sand if that’s what you want to do!
You’ll need:
- Fine Sand
- Cornflour
- Oil (Baby or Canola)
- Colouring
The ratio is 5:3:1 (so 5 parts sand, 3 parts cornflour and 1 part oil). So for a small-ish tray we use 2.5 cups of sand, 1.5 cups of cornflour and half a cup of oil.
Mix the sand and cornflour together first, then add the oil and colouring. Make sure it’s all mixed well!
Again, similar to the goop, but you can add items to this or just let the kids explore!
