Dinosaur-Based Activity

Raise your hand if you have a dinosaur lover in your house!! 🙋🏼‍♀️ Dinosaurs are so much fun, not only for the kids but for us adults!! Who doesn’t love being challenged at how to pronounce different names 🤣😅 If dinosaurs are popular for your kids, then why not use that imagination and curiosity that they have already and extend on it even further! Did you know that imagination is amazing for social, emotional, creative, lingual and problem-solving skills and development in children? It does!! So here is one amazing dinosaur-based activity that you can set up for your kids!

Let’s harness that. Harnessing a child’s natural imagination and curiosity is one of the best ways to keep them engaged in a learning activity by making it tactile. Imagination aids development of social, emotional, creative, lingual, and problem-solving skills in children. So, by harnessing an area they are already y invested in can promote create learning ability.

Dinosaur Number Representation

Firstly, how amazing is this set up by @popandpudplay?! To replicate it, you’ll need:

• The Dinosaur 0-10 Number Representation or Dinosaur 0-20 Number Representation Stone Match
• 0-10 Acrylic Number Tracing Board
• Acrylic Tens Frame with Counters
• Wooden discs & paper (maybe even some Mod Podge!!)
• Mini dinosaurs

And you’re all set!

This activity will allow your child to develop a greater awareness of numbers and how they are represented. Fun huh?!
