A daily visual timetable can be so helpful not only for your kids (and I mean all of them, not just our neurodivergent friends) but for you too! I am currently getting my entire classroom ready and one of the first things that I am creating.
If you don’t have a visual timetable in your room I challenge you to change that!
It is so important for our kids, as it allows them to be aware of what’s coming next within the day. It means that they aren’t questioning the routine of the day, instead they feel calm and a sense of routine to their day.
Change can cause a lot of anxiety for our kids, and so it’s important for them to have something which shows their day, all mapped out for them.
My editable daily visual timetable is available in quite a few different themes so you are bound to find something that matches your classroom AND they’re editable so it doesn’t matter what you call it at your school you can change the wording!!
The one that I am using is my Scandi Animals, but you can see all the other ones here!
